Client Benefits

We took the steep slope leading to an elevated backyard and transformed it into a space that is both accessible and easily usable. By adding steps leading to the pool deck, we created a seamless path from the back deck to the swimming area. The surrounding retaining wall is perfect for mounting fences on top, ensuring the safety of the area.

The use of porcelain pavers was both a stylistic and long-term choice. Although they’re fragile during installation, porcelain pavers can endure years of use. Not only are they durable, but they also bring a strong, modern, and timeless look to the project.

Highlights

What made this project unqiue?

Bethany is often seen as a town that gets as close as it gets to country Connecticut. Our aim with this project was blend a modern look while still maintaining that country charm. The contract of the porcelain against the fieldstone retaining wall displays the difference in styles perfectly. The addition of the bluestone steps leading to the pool ties it all together with a touch of masonry that is classic in Connecticut.
